HAMBURGER SIGHTING
During last weekend's Big Ears Festival, the shop was included as a stop in comedian Neil Hamburger's "Architectural Tour of Downtown Knoxville." According to Hamburger, Yee-Haw has been bought out by corporate health and hygiene super giant Kimberly-Clark, and now busies itself printing inserts for tampon boxes rather than making posters for "crappy local bands"...While earlier passing a noisy construction sight, Hamburger said "Put them on stage; that's what you came to hear anyway." The festival was written up in yesterday's New York Times.

BIG EARS FESTIVAL
Hey y'all. Wanted to let you know of a sweet little festival coming Knoxville's way (if you haven't already heard). For those of you thinking about venturing over, now's the time. This is definitely one festival not to be missed. Such acts as Antony and the Johnsons, as well as Philip Glass, Fennesz, and Dan Deacon will all be performing, right here in Knoxville! The shows will be spread out through a number of venues in the downtown Knoxville area. The complete line-up can be found at BIG EARS.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
We've polished off the cookie plate and are now back in the shop gearing up for 2009's upcoming events. The New York International Gift Fair is right around the corner, and once again, we'll be holding it down in NYC. If you're headed up that way at the end of the month, be sure to stop on by and say hey. Thanks to all of you who made our Christmas open house a huge success. BATTY ENDING INTERNSHIP PERIOD
From all of us here at Yee-Haw, I'd like to say a big thanks to Matt Batty for all the hard work here during his internship. He's been a big help and we're very appreciative of that strong (sometimes dislocated) crank-arm of his. Matt's wild beard and hippopotamus tattoos helped him blend in from the start.
