A SUMMER CLEANING SESSION OF SORTS

If you're longing to own some actual Yee-Haw printing blocks, here's your chance to snatch some up. Now posted on Ebay are several listings of some older boxes of different sorts. Some boxes are strictly imagery, some solely typographic, and others have a bit of both. There are no reserves on any of the auctions, so don't be bashful. Step right up.

YEE-HAW HELPS JACK DANIEL'S TENNESSEE WHISKEY CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE BY WAY OF LETTERPRESS PRINTS
We've just completed a 2500 poster project for our whiskey making neighbors to the southwest. The production of the first of ten prints was thoroughly documented by Paper Fortress Films and can be viewed below. Our friend and neighbor Matt Morelock of Morelock Music provided the original score. Facebookers can watch the video and declare their own independence through an interactive application at jackindependence.com.

3 NEW POSTERS FOR EVENTS IN DOWNTOWN KNOXVILLE
If I had to name the one thing people like to do most in East Tennessee, and near everywhere else in the world for that matter, I'd have to say it just might be eating. Therefore, many of the events and festivals taking place in and around the Downtown Knoxville area are centered around food. Two of our springtime favorites are the International Biscuit Festival and the Market Square Farmers' Market. Yee-Haw has recently printed three fine letterpress posters announcing and commemorating these events.

MERLEFEST 2011

APRIL 28-MAY 1, 2011
WILKESBORO, NORTH CAROLINA
Yee-Haw will be manning a booth at Merlefest again this year. Over the past ten or twelve years, we've watched children become adults and seen the festival grow and grow. Hosted by traditional music legend Doc Watson in memory of his late son, Merlefest brings in a great line-up of "traditional-plus" artists. This year's line-up features Doc Watson, Freight Hoppers, Tim O'Brien, Lyle Lovett, Del McCoury Band, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy, the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Doobie Brothers and more. Come by our booth if you happen to be in attendance.
